Alberta Ferretti’s show was staged in the open air in one of the courtyards of Milan’s Castello Sforzesco, on a warm and sunny afternoon.
This season, Ferretti chose to telegraph a stronger woman who needs practical clothes to go about her daily life. Ferretti’s approach being practical and dictated by her attention to real women’s needs, she also offered plenty of no-nonsense, everyday pieces. Ferretti’s models wore jeans that looked almost utilitarian and oh-so-comfortable. They also wore silk bra tops, highly, yet delicately, embroidered blouses or jumpsuits came in Sangallo lace and hand-knit sweaters looked cozy.

Double-breasted jackets, short chiffon dresses inspired by the world of lingerie, shirt jackets and Bermudas in earthy tones accessorized with fringed and beaded bags with wooden details were also part of the collection.
‘’This is soft, not over-the-top fashion’’, said Alberta Ferretti.
