March 13, 2021

Instead of a film like almost other designers, Alexandre Vauthier chose to showcase his Fall/Winter 2021 collection through a series of pictures in the varying styles of photographer Franck Durand whose work he admires – and the girl who enhanced his clothes was the stunning model on the rise Quinn Mora. She just recently landed her first cover of Vogue Paris.

This latest Alexandre Vauthier collection was comprised out of twenty-five looks following up the creative energy used for his last season’s nightclub-shot couture.

For Vauthier Fall/Winter 2021 season is not about staying warm and cozy, thus for this collection as well he’s focusing on striking daytime looks and sensual evening wear. He was giving the Vauthier women sharp-tailored silhouettes in tactile fabrics, and a range of comfy and colorful outsized ribbed sweaters to cherish in their closet for the season to come. The fronded red ruffle-strewn lamé dress that captivated on the Le Palace dance floor that summed up the house codes was adapted into an equally arresting prêt-à-porter silver, along with a softer suite of white equivalents. In a more understated daywear register, plissé chiffon dresses with frilled collars and perfectly cut wool or crêpe coats and capes in off-white or camel.
