Alexandre Vauthier introduced 23 looks for the Fall/Winter 2020 Haute Couture season, pulling French savoir-faire into a contemporary realm.
Given the circumstances – coronavirus shutdowns – Vauthier focused on what he does best, honing a tight yet exuberant collection with the specialized ateliers he loves, like Lemarié and Lesage.
So then, the collection carried a timeless and insouciant feel and some pieces nodded to 1980s-era touchstones.
Part of the look book was shot in Paris, by Karim Sadli. The other half was shot in the Hamptons, by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin while video was produced by videographer Albert Moya.
