The bustling area of Montmartre and its emblematic monument, la basilique du Sacré-Cœur overlooking the capital with its gray zinc roofs. AMI Alexandre Mattiussi has chosen this strongest Parisian symbol to address his love letter to Paris, its innate romanticism and its joie de vivre.
Soberly titled ‘’Cœur Sacré’’ (“Sacred Heart“), the Spring/Summer 2023 collection is an ode to Parisian chic and elegance, with a hint of the 60s making it delightfully intriguing, through loose-fitting blazers, diamond knits and leather jackets.
Parisian archetypes and personalities whose lives were at one time or another intimately linked to the capital, such as Serge Gainsbourg, Edith Piaf, Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, among others, have all been represented. The collection is filled with fun and colorful basics, from blazers with shiny gold buttons that are so bourgeois, Breton striped sweaters, “Sacred Heart” logo sweaters paired with Biker leather jackets, candy pink boiled wool coats, tank tops or fishnet t-shirts worn under white shirts…, there is “something for everyone – all ages and all members of the family”.
The heart, AMI‘s logo, returns stronger than ever, shining in its red love on many pieces, while the name of the collection, “Sacred Heart” is carried proudly like a banner.
