For Spring/Summer 2022, Andreas Kronthaler, Vivienne Westwood’s husband, took his own wardrobe, and decades worth of stored items and fabrics as inspiration. The lineup was a sustainable patchwork of Kronthaler’s artistic universe – messy-chic and undeniably theatrical.

“I was thinking of a new beginning, but in order for this to happen you have to make space for it. This is what I have tried to do with this collection. Hopefully it will help me to reach new shores. I am very much looking forward to Vivienne wearing it”, Andreas Kronthaler said.
The heavily draped and tailored pieces centralized around a drastic destructuring, with oversized fits sharply contrasting Westwood’s signature corseting. There were sexy silhouettes, including pencil skirts, shorts worn as suits with sexy jackets; transparent dress worn with cotton polo shirt; hood extended down over breasts, worn like a bra; oversize t-shirts and trousers which revealed flashes of flesh; gowns and skirts, showing a bit of “butt cleavage”, for men and patch-worked sports jerseys for women. The footwear was fantastic: slouchy stiletto boots paved in emerald sparkles, satin stripes, or black patent, and tall boxing shoes or sneakers.
