Armani Privé Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2018

After years of shows in a windowless hall at the Palais de Chaillot, Giorgio Armani moved his Privé presentation to Paris’s Italian embassy, a fitting location for this emissary of Milanese elegance.
In his program notes, Armani said that he sought to capture ‘’couture…as it once was: the authentic essence of luxury and perfection, the notion intended as instructional for ‘the young generation’ and the style of presentation, ‘almost regal’’’.
Through the 96 red-carpet-ready looks, the brand elevated silhouettes most commonly associated with casual sleep sets into wearable, yet incredibly luxe, matching separates to satiate the desires of a range of couture clients.
