Astrid Andersen Fall/Winter 2019 – London Fashion Week Men’s

Stepping away from the label’s previous inspirations, Astrid Andersen wanted to fuse the idea of streetwear with classical tailoring and luxury fur. This was very different but she remained comfortably rooted in particular her signature combination of lace and fur.
The collection featured tall, wide-brimmed, pilgrim-like hats made by hand by a local man in Copenhagen, fur coats worked in collaboration with Saga Fur, and shoes contributed by Dr Martens. She also experimented with a new palette of colors, most distinctively its bold use of blues, reds, oranges, corn and mint green, introducing a fresh scope of colors to the brand via free form, hand-painted prints on many pieces.
