Rushemy Botter and his partner Lisi Herrebrugh have been delivering strong conceptual collections for their eponymous label for the past 4 years and their Spring/Summer 2022 collection was no exception. The spring lineup of the designers who are also life partners and co-creative directors of the storied house, Nina Ricci, included a series of upcycled rain jackets, created in collaboration with umbrella manufacturer Piganiol, fish-bait adorned suits, Fishnet tops made from thread from Parley, chunky necklaces featuring colorful fishing lures made by Japanese company Dowluck, neoprene fishing uniforms, exaggerated boat fenders and buoys interpreted as crossbody bags, underwater diving googles, and coral reef patterned pieces.

The Aquatic Brand”, as they like to call their label, stated that around 60 percent of the collection was made from materials created from upcycled ocean plastic in partnership with the environmental nonprofit organization Parley for the Oceans.
