Celine Men's Fall Winter 2021

Celine Men’s Fall/Winter 2021

Hedi Slimane unveiled, just a week ago, his latest creations for Celine Homme featuring the house’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection, via a 13-minutes video posted on the Celine’s website and on its social networks.

Named ‘’Teen Knight Poem’’, the video was shot at the Chateau de Chambord, the famous Loire Valley castle is prized for its blend of medieval and Renaissance architecture.

With its silhouettes, colors and embroidery that wink to 16th-century court and ceremonial dress or to ‘’Game of Thrones’’ for the TikTok and Instagram generation, his collection is ‘’an ode to youth and the Renaissance. Nouveau Romantic’’.

His collection was rich with moody young waifs who stroll the French Renaissance building’s ramparts in oversized leather blousons finished with multiple chains hanging from collar, voluptuous and striking leather blousons, ruffle-neck dueling shirts, elongated biker jackets and beefy shearlings, layered up with denim, leather vests and hoodies, black jeans and riding boots or fab courtiers’ couture-worthy jackets made in dense layers of gold, black and silver sequins. From their ears dangled chains and heraldic fleur-de-lys – Clovis couture.

There were also familiar silhouettes of Hedi Slimane inspired by the different movements of rock, from Cold Wave (checked shirt, thin tie, trench coat) to glam rock (fur, skinny jeans, ankle boots, the eye underlined with a line of mascara, perfecto), passing through the Goth (total black look).

Two bold prints primarily grace the goods: ever-present Celine branding and ‘’A POEM’’, which are each laden across visors, headbands, denim jackets and patched sweaters alongside other hits of text, like a word ‘’STRANGE’’ in hand-cut embroidered letters.
