Summer and a nod to the ocean, the new capsule is placed under the sign of the preservation of nature. Thus, it gives pride of place to navy blue and an ochre color as well as recycled materials, created from recycled marine plastic debris and recovered fishing gear, one of the major objectives of the organization Parley for the Oceans.

Highlights include packable jackets, poplin pants, sweaters with the Dior logo embossed on the sleeve, animal print shorts and B23 sneakers with biosourced plastic soles. Accessories include sunglasses with biobased frames, fitted logo caps, silk squares, jewelry, as well as sleek water bottle carrying cases.

Pieces are made from Parley Ocean Plastic, a recycled polyester, Mesh and technical canvas. Some pieces feature the Dior Oblique pattern, stripes or a new Adriatic graphic inspired by the house’s archives.

In addition, the ‘’Beachwear Capsule’’ collection supports the new Parley X10 program, which aims to avoid the production of virgin plastic and replace it in the long term by funding the development of new materials. For every piece produced, the equivalent of ten times its carbon and plastic footprint will come from nature.

Collaborating with Dior marks a new chapter. It is the first time a product we make with a brand has a 10 times more positive impact than the footprint it took to create it. Every Dior product contributes to what we call ‘Parley X10’ and funds our global work against the plastic and climate crisis”, said Cyrill Gutsch , CEO and founder of Parley for the Oceans.
