Dries Van Noten has taken over the dilapidated Hôtel de Guise, delightfully decrepit maison on the Left Bank – the mansion belonging to an old French family whose foundation dates back to around 1780 – to present his Fall/Winter 2022 collection and to launch his first cosmetics and fragrance collection, inspired by his famous home garden in Antwerp.

The influence of architect and artist Carlo Mollino perforated the collection – Carlo Mollino was an architect and photographer and upon his death in the early 1970s, erotic polaroids of women were found in his apartment. The powerful spirit from these women were translated into his clothes and in the lace-up boots and leather chokers. There were also lots of classic shapes from the ‘70s and a noticeable amount of animal print.
