In view of a complete reopening of borders, Hermès’ creative director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski chose a private jet terminal at Le Bourget airport north of the French capital for an immersive experience conveying optimism, the sun, and hope.

The idea of coming to the terminal was really the promise of escape”, Vanhee-Cybulski said. “You come through a passageway, a transition zone, designed to make you let go of the heaviness of the present and head toward something promising, optimistic – an opening”.

Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski continued her legacy at Hermès with a stunning Spring/Summer collection, with casual silhouettes, dresses and skirts with elasticated drawstring waists, soft apron jumpsuits with brown leather trim, bralette and skirt sets printed with the brand’s signature horsebit motif.

The light color palette with neutral tones, rich terracottas, pastel oranges and blacks and whites provided an easygoing feel of practicality combined with composure.

For me, it’s really about clothes that enable you to move freely”, Vanhee-Cybulski explained. “I think it’s not about going to anything too casual. I think it’s about making an effort, but also the ability to move within your clothes”.

The show was live-streamed and broadcast simultaneously at special events held in Busan in South Korea; Kanagawa in Japan; New York; London, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
