Hermès - Spring Summer 2021 - Paris Fashion Week

Hermès – Spring/Summer 2021 – Paris Fashion Week

October 10, 2020

Staged at the Tennis Club de France, the Hermès Spring/Summer 2021 collection by Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski – who studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp and previously worked at Céline and Maison Martin Margiela – played with the naked and the seductive from different angles – from the sensual to the strict.

The lineup was telling – cutouts on knit tops flashing just the right amount of skin, harness dresses that declared a state of mind more than reigning in bodies, and plenty of crop tops.

Equestrian references were also strongly present, including rolled-up collars, wide pleated pants, or a buttery leather belted coat with perforated side panels.

Spring/summer 2021 at Hermès hit the right notes of an upbeat colour palette, freeing silhouettes and just a touch daring in their use of leather.

Vanhee-Cybulski also revisited a concept from her last spring collection, with chic black apron dresses that were a nod to the craftspeople working in the house’s workshops.

This collection is about freedom, the freedom to reinvent, to dream of a new connection, a fresh spirit

Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski stated in her collection notes
