Through its video titles ‘’Meet your New Self’’ imagined, directed and produced by Yusuke Kobayashi, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE has clearly demonstrated that joy and good humor were an integral part of its DNA. A positive attitude was confirmed by the closing caption at the end: ‘’For a future that is healthy, bright, and full of hope’’.
Hanging on a clothes rack, garments in saturated colors started swaying of their own volition, calling models to come, pick them, wear them and then dance with them.
The collection, faithful to the spirit of the label, exuded casual elegance through its choice of fabrics, thick and pleated mesh fabric, cotton and linen that let the garment breathe, and cuts with sporty touches.
For Spring/Summer 2021, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE collaborated also for a second time with WAKOUWA to offer two-tone black and white shoes.
