Jonathan Anderson hasn’t let the coronavirus pandemic dampen his creativity for Spring/Summer 2021.
Instead of enlisting models to sport the upcoming season’s clothing, his eponymous label JW Anderson has created a series of fictional characters who are shown wearing the men’s collection. The collection was shown on mannequins topped with surreal, blown-up drawings of faces by illustrator Pol Anglada.
For this season, Jonathan Anderson produced a collection of dresses, capes, pillow sweaters, cropped trousers, elongated jumpers and loafer mules for the post-lockdown style zeitgeist. Pushing some bold new silhouettes, the Spring/Summer 2021 collection sees elongated sleeves trailing down to the floor, meanwhile the pockets on the patchwork jockey coats sprout pockets big enough to double up as bags.
