2019 LVMH Prize finalist Kenneth Ize, who was born in Lagos (Nigeria) and grew up in Austria, made quite the splash at Paris Fashion Week with the debut of his Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
The show was inspired by his memories of going to church, and growing up between Nigeria and Austria. Primarily known for his menswear tailoring, Ize’s new pieces showcase his craftsmanship while adding feminine touches and blending traditional and modern silhouettes (Nigerian handwoven ‘’asoke’’ fabrics with lace made in Vienna, for example).
