Indeed, the Parisian label of Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran will present from this season only two collections per year, in January and in June. The one they just unveiled was their second co-ed collection.

Lemaire’s seasonal collections are always well-loved for their slouchy take on Parisian elegance, interspersing graceful tailoring with lush fabrication. Their latest Fall/Winter 2021 upholded those signatures, while emphasizing even more strongly the feel and the boundaries blurring between interior and exterior garments that has become almost unavoidable since the worldwide health crisis.

Intending to cater to the current need for protection and comfort, they layered generous topcoats, trenches, parkas trimmed in Mongolian wool and cashmere cardigans on shirts, ultra soft pants, extra fine turtlenecks and second-skin jersey pieces, in typically evocative earthy tones.

Textures and subtle plays of color also played a very important role in this minimalist construction, notably with almost exclusively neutral tones, lit by a touch of bright red and camel while the prints took an abstract turn with its marbled effects.
