For Fall/Winter 2020 collection, Longchamp creative director Sophie Delafontaine said that she was inspired by famous Parisian women like Carole Bouquet and Catherine Deneuve as well the French movies done in the ‘70s. ‘’But I really wanted to work it for a woman in 2020’’, she explained. ‘’The idea was to translate it in a modern way’’. But the girl she imagined is not so much her, but 40 cinematic characters, all ‘’versions of a Parisian women’’ in the Big Apple.
