For Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2020 lookbook, creative director Nicolas Ghesquière looked to literature and film, creating 24 horror and sci-fi-inspired images that evoke movie posters and book covers to present the collection.
‘’Fashion is a novel’’, the brand claims in the look-book notes. And although the faux covers and posters draw inspiration from the ‘70s and ‘80s, the collection is a mash-up of past, present, and future styles. It also engages a dialogue between stylistic rebellion and fine craftsmanship.
The lookbook features various brand ambassadors and celebrities, including Léa Seydoux, Emma Roberts, Alicia Vikander, Jaden Smith, Jennifer Connelly, Robyn, Sophie Turner, Chloë Grace Moretz, Stacy Martin, Kelsey Asbille, Doona Bae, Laura Harrier, Zhong Chuxi, Yaya, Noémie Merlant, Deepika Padukone, Woodkid, Rinko Kikuchi, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Samara Weaving, Angelica Ross and ‘’American Horror Story’’ co-stars, Billie Lourd and Cody Fern.
