For Sacai’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, Chitose Abe presented a sci-fi inspired street style collection.
There were the NASA-sourced cosmic prints that contrasted delicate sheer fabrics and intricate embroideries, the dynamic pairing of black and white, a new formality marrying mannish tailoring with feminine, couture-inspired volumes and also a new lightness to the clothing. It all made for a potent take on soft power and a new sense of play for the brand.
