This season, Tom Ford moved his runway show to Los Angeles where was held the Oscars. The location was not chosen at random. Indeed, the choice of this city hosting the world cinema industry and more particularly Hollywood showed his passion for cinema.

For the next Fall/Winter, Ford brang back Hollywood glamor where Forties meets Seventies meets Nineties silhouettes.

Sounding as much like a film director as a fashion designer, he wrote in the show notes about creating mood and character, highlighting a sultry 1967 photo from his inspiration board of Baron Alexis de Waldner holding a cigarette up to the mouth of the Sixties model-turned-actress Donna Mitchell: ‘’Chic, possibly slightly stoned…it conveys the mood for the season and a mood that for me is very L.A’’.
