On last sunday, February 25th, Tommy Hilfiger unveiled his third TommyNow’s see-now buy-now collection, for the Spring/Summer 2018 season, marking the end of the Milan Fashion Week. Held into MICO, a giant exhibition space within the Fiera di Milano, the coed collection was available to purchase online the second it hit the runway and by the following morning, the collections will be shoppable in 20,000 physical points of sale.
Themed around Formula One racing – earlier this month, Tommy Hilfiger cemented a relationship with the four-time Formula One champs Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport – the collections were a racetrack, upon which Gigi Hadid opened the show attired in leather biker leggings and a cropped bandeau top, Tommy’s logo to the fore. The following looks were tight motorbike jackets, cropped tops and moto pants, cropped moto jackets and sweat pants, racing striped bathing suits, bomber jackets decorated with auto-racing patches and Hilfiger flags tops and denim from the Nineties archive. And for guys, leather varsity jackets in mixes of stretch and lambskin, mixed up down vests in blends of chalk-stripe and kicking fabric, abstract camouflage shirts, polo shirts and shirts with wide stripes, a wide range of pants and denim shorts and not forgetting some silhouettes of casual dress.
