The influence of hip-hop on current fashion is seen in every look of Valentino Spring/Summer 2019 collection presented at the Paris Fashion Week.
Pierpaolo Piccioli showed a logo-heavy collection, and this season, his approach was informed by trap music. ‘’I think music is something that includes people and creates a community of people who share the same interest”, he said.
Revisiting Valentino‘s popular scarf prints of the 1970s and 80s, Piccioli repurposed them for a modern camouflage, as some looks featuring logos borrowed from Seventies archival scarf prints.
