Almost two years after being sold to the Michael Kors Empire for almost $ 2.12 billion, Versace continues to moult, with this season its first ever mixed fashion show.

Donatella Versace’s collection, composed of 91 looks, set out to explore power and sensuality, inaugurating her new interpretation of sexy.

What I’m trying to say with this collection is that sensuality comes through the brain first. The clothes become a means to an end. To me, hyper masculine is okay for menswear and hyper feminine is okay for womenswear

explained Donatella Versace

So, for women, there was hourglass tailoring in bonded fabrics, including gorgeous blazers with corsetry and articulated seams worn with flared trousers. For men, there were macho leathers, including oversize lush bombers, goofy Nineties oversize floral sweaters, allover barocco printed shell suits, zebra stripes and crystal-embroidered tuxedos.

As for the house’ logo, she varied it enormously. ‘’I focused on distorting the Versace baroque, making it more energetic and altering the shapes’’, explained Donatella.
