Viktor & Rolf surprises every season with their increasingly artistic approach to high fashion.
Their Fall/Winter 2022 Haute Couture show was almost a performance, in a move reminiscent of their Russian doll collection from Fall/Winter 1999.
Each look had the opportunity to shine twice on stage, demonstrating the evolving ability of the clothes and the genius of the creative directors.
Their show was divided into two parts. The first half of the show consisted mostly of exaggerated masculine looking suits. The silhouettes were strict and rigorous where the shoulders extended, widened and seemed to float above the models. Then, the strict look was transformed into a softer, more feminine silhouette draped with ruffles. The same creations from the first part were modified into a more feminine, casual and ruffled version.
