Instead of his usual runway show, this season, Matthew Williams unveiled a lookbook, photographed by Berlin-based Latvian photographer Ilya Lipkin, for his 1017 Alyx 9SM label.

The lookbook featured the models crossing in a natural way in front of an all-white background as if they’re not aware they’re being photographed. This had the effect of focusing our attention on the looks which were obviously of great elegance.
For Fall/Winter 2021, 1017 Alyx 9SM continued his game of revisiting the Italian brand’s classic codes, the fabrication-centric approach that defines his work and with forward-looking design cues.
In the program, super elongated denim jackets, sporty jackets featured impressively deep dual-entry pockets, suits tailored by Caruso, technical parkas and lightly padded bombers, shearling jackets as well as ribbed knits.
Despite the dynamic dyes and progressive cuts, neutral tones and approachable essentials promise versatility and demonstrated a confidence and maturity gained over the years.
