‘’I think I’m a very sportswear, colorful, optimistic person, so I wanted it (the Resort collection) to feel joy and happiness, and convey the message that the sun will shine again, because I believe that it will’’, said Brandon Maxwell.

His 15-looks resort collection offered to all women fantasy and comfort. Skirts were cut with the ease of sarongs, and there was an emphasis on denim, which does well for him, as well as roomy knit separates and clingy knit dresses. Any flourishes were above the waist; capelet shoulders, décolleté-revealing cutouts, and the giant duchesse bow of the single evening dress seem tailor-made for Zoom. Color was the story here, from a vivid green suit to a baby pink shirtdress to chartreuse trousers.
