Burberry Spring/Summer 2019 – London Fashion Week

It’s a new dawn at Burberry. Riccardo Tisci made his London Fashion Week debut as Burberry’s newest creative director.
The collection was sectioned in three-part under the headings Refined, Relaxed, and Evening. It was presented as his personal vision of the touchstones of British culture, from establishment to punk. ‘’It’s like a patchwork or a mix of the British lifestyle’’, said the designer.
This collection, with its 134 models, was a testament to his maturity as a designer, his respect for the name which has 162 years history. The collection took in a sensual, old world luxury, standing along street looks with punk, pop and historical references.
Riccardo Tisci had also modernized the logo and monogram, and then splashed the monogram’s intersecting ‘’T’’ and ‘’B’’ (which stands for Thomas Burberry, the brand founder) across London billboards and a range of sportswear. He even updated the collectible ‘’Thomas Burberry’’ bear with a fresh set of gilded and sharpened claws.
