As part of the brand’s new course, we welcome with enthusiasm the arrival of Marco de Vincenzo. Through his sensitivity for colours, prints and fabrics, we are sure that Marco will be able to translate at best Etro’s extraordinary heritage into new interpretations for the different brand’s collections and also giving a new drive to the world of accessories”, said Fabrizio Cardinali, Etro’s CEO.

Marco de Vincenzo stands out as one of the most innovative and talented designers of the new generation. After graduating from the European Institute of Design in Rome, the 43-year-old Sicilian native began a long collaboration with Fendi in 2000, where he was the head designer for leather goods, before launching his eponymous women’s ready-to-wear brand in 2009 – Bernard Arnault’s LVMH group invested in the brand in 2014 and owned 45%, before de Vincenzo bought them back last April, along with the other 35% held by MMGP Srl.

In 2009, the year he founded his eponymous brand, Marco de Vincenzo was received first prize in the “Who is on Next?” competition for new talent organized by Altaroma in collaboration with Vogue Italia. Marco de Vincenzo’s work is internationally recognized for his mastery of bright colors, the craftsmanship of his creations and for the beautiful fabrics and sophisticated embellishments that are very present in his worlds.
