Etro has debuted its first campaign under the new creative director Marco de Vincenzo for the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, titled ‘’Eden of Etropia’’.
Photographed by Zhong Lin, the campaign features models Akon Changkou, Iman Kaumann, and Livia Hammar. The campaign focuses on the apple, which serves as the iconic fruit of the collection and a powerful symbol of love, seduction, and eternity.
Additionally, it explores the tension between fantasy and reality. Inspired by the dreamlike portraits of the Pre-Raphaelites, the 2023 women’s campaign is infused with tightrope walkers, fairies, sorceresses, and princesses who navigate through a maze-like, paradoxical set, where stairs, walls, and windows shift perspectives in a seemingly impossible fairy-tale.
Gabriella Karefa-Johnson oversaw the styling, while Anita Bitton handled the casting direction for the project. The beauty aspect was entrusted to hair stylist Jawara, make-up artist Ammy Drammeh, and manicurist Sylvie Macmillan.
