On the final day of Paris Fashion Week, Lanvin presented its Spring/Summer 2019 menswear presentation in the Palais de Tokyo.
“To me this is such a strange season because so much is happening. And I really found the need to elevate. It’s not about streetwear or not streetwear, or do you like streetwear or do you not like streetwear? To me it’s about finding a new kind of elegance, a new kind of sophistication, and a new kind of language”, said Creative Director Lucas Ossendrijver who is suffering from streetwear fatigue.
The Dutch designer references contrast such as night and day, soft and hard, flat and 3-D, back and front, black and color and made them come together to create hybrids, things that fall somewhere in-between, all executed with the label’s signature attention to craftsmanship and pared back minimalism.
