The legendary denim brand Lee embarks on an innovative and nostalgic adventure by partnering with the iconic animated series Dragon Ball Z, introducing the Lee x Dragon Ball Z collection.
Lee’s recent collaboration with Dragon Ball Z marks the first time these two influential brands have joined forces. According to Joe Broyles, Global Vice President of Collaborations at Lee, “A generation of fans were introduced to anime through ‘Dragon Ball Z’ in the ’90s, and that same generation grew up wearing Lee“. The Lee x Dragon Ball Z collection is designed to connect nostalgic sentiments with modern trends, offering a fresh and distinctive range for fans across generations.
Taking inspiration from the late ’90s and Y2K culture, the collection incorporates imagery from the early episodes of the Dragon Ball Z series, combined with striking and vivid colors. The assortment of apparel features options for women, men, and unisex styles, presenting a versatile selection for fans of the beloved series.
Highlights of the collection include a graphic camp shirt showcasing the “Dragon Ball Z” Kame House, and a hooded dress adorned with images of popular characters from the series. The hooded dress is available in either all-black or a combination of black and orange, catering to a variety of tastes. Other pieces in the collection consist of t-shirts, hooded dresses, drawstring shorts, and more, with prices ranging from $35 to $70, making it accessible to a diverse audience.
This collaboration is the latest in a series of partnerships Lee has undertaken in recent years, having previously teamed up with esteemed brands such as The Brooklyn Circus, H&M, The Hundreds and Alife.
