The March 2023 issue of Harper’s Bazaar China is graced by Michelle Yeoh, the Oscar-winning actress. The gorgeous photo shoot was masterfully captured by photographer Chen Man and styled by Wang Gugu, with clothing and jewelry exclusively from Dior. Yeoh’s already alluring appearance was heightened by the hair styling of Garrie Bobs and make-up by Japhet Bong.
The Malaysian-born actress made history on Sunday night by becoming the first Asian person to win the Academy Award for Best Actress in a leading role for her performance in ‘’Everything Everywhere All at Once’’.
Brandishing the Oscar statuette, she said: “For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibility. And ladies, don’t let anyone ever tell you you are past your prime“.
She dedicated her win to her mother, whom she called a “superhero“.
Michelle Yeoh became a star of Hong Kong cinema before coming to global attention in films like ‘’Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’’, ‘’Memoirs of a Geisha’’, ‘’Tomorrow Never Dies’’ and ‘’Crazy Rich Asians’’. This was her first Oscar nomination.
