“Short. Sharp. Strong”, read the show notes that accompanied Ports 1961’s Spring/Summer 2022 offering, a confident, spontaneous, rebellious and youth-focused collection, from stylist and creative director Karl Templer.

Templer said he was inspired by young women and how they’re emerging from lockdown – “confident, spontaneous and not overthinking what they’re putting on”.
Here, silhouettes were short – and little dresses and mini skirts came in supple leather that Templer often paired with oversize sweaters featuring broken-up Breton stripes; prints were bold – imagined as colourful splashes of graffiti, snakeskin and geometric panels; and accessories were emphatic – chunky, grommet-soled, stacked boots; and oversized basketball sneakers.
