After visiting the Ganges in India, and the terracotta army in Xi’an, China, Yushan Li and Jun Zhou of PRONOUNCE took us this season to the highlands of the Himalayan mountain or more exactly to Lhasa, the capital of the Tibetan plateau.
The new collection aimed to echo the Tibetan cultures, achieving a balance between the functional and decorative, restriction and freedom, the real and artificial.

Voluminous silhouettes were inspired by monk wear or by Chinese classics infused with a Tibetan-style.
The collection also featured Tibetan symbols and patterns that are considered to have blessing powers in local culture, including chunky knots accessories, which took hundreds hours to make.
