For Spring/Summer 2021, Yohji Yamamoto unveiled, like others designers, his collection through the 14:28mn art video directed by japanese photographer TAKAY.
The video showed models to walk the runway in a dark and poetic atmosphere and with Yojhi’s voice growling lyrics like a bluesman on the background.
The collection followed Yohji Yamamoto’s DNA by using deconstructed and oversized shapes, different layers including several fabrics such as linen, wool gabardine but also some cotton denim looks.
Also, some coats were printed with magnified eyes, with novelty eyeballs that doubled as buttons as witnesses of what is happening today in our world and also looking into the future.
