In the realm of high-end fragrances, Guerlain holds a special place for its long-standing commitment to quality, innovation, and artistry. To commemorate the 170th anniversary of their distinctive bee bottle, Guerlain has teamed up with glassmaking virtuoso Aristide Najean to create a breathtaking Murano glass flacon that houses the brand’s Le Bouquet de la Mariée fragrance.

Launching on May 1st exclusively on Guerlain’s website, this spectacular flacon is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. Adorned with sculptural flowers infused with 24-karat gold, the intricate design appears to spill forth from the bottle itself. Golden bees, reminiscent of the original bottle, grace the exterior, while the bottle’s center proudly showcases the date of its inception, April 30th, 1853.

Only ten of these engravable limited-edition flacons will be made available, each retailing for an impressive $27,000. This collaboration was a natural fit, as both Guerlain and Aristide Najean share a deep appreciation for nature. According to Ann Caroline Prazan, Guerlain’s director of art, culture, and heritage, incorporating flowers into the design was an obvious choice for both parties.

Najean immersed himself in Guerlain’s history and the story behind the Le Bouquet de la Mariée fragrance to bring this vision to life. With notes of orange blossom, musk, and vanilla, the scent is inspired by the emotions of a bride on her wedding day. Najean executed the first flacon’s concept and design in just seven hours, encapsulating the unforgettable moment when a bride tosses her bouquet.

Aristide Najean’s description of his creative process reveals the deep connection between the fragrance and the enchanting design of the bottle. The fusion of the bride’s bouquet with the bee bottle symbolizes the essence of the Le Bouquet de la Mariée fragrance, capturing the magic and joy of a timeless moment.
