We often tend to forget that Luke Meier spent eight years, in the 90s, in New York City where he was designing for Supreme. It was these years spent in the city that never sleeps, where he discovered the eclecticism and individuality of New York street style of the 1990s, that greatly influenced his Spring/Summer 2022 collection he codesigned with his wife Lucie for Jil Sander.

The collection in sync with the current times than ever merged utilitarian influences and streetwear. The range included precise but relaxed silhouettes, between radical minimalism and eclectic maximalism. Cheetah-prints, fur-look silk tops, and faux diamond jewelry added a touch of eccentricity while graphic elements in contrasting colors and vintage graphics taken from the windows of local delis in New York gave the collection an arty feel.
