First Indian-born student to graduate from the prestigious MA Fashion program at Central Saint Martin, the London-based designer Kaushik Velendra has aroused real enthusiasm and huge expectations since he presented his graduate collection during the London Fashion Week in February 2019. In the same year, he launched his eponymous label before being shortlisted, a year later, for the prestigious LVMH Prize for its 2020 edition.

His first collection presented at London Fashion Week Men’s Fall/Winter 2020 in January 2020 has received exceptional critical acclaim and recognition from the industry, including from the New York Times, Vogue USA, Vogue India, Vogue Italia and WWD.
Hit hard by the pandemic like so many others in the fashion and luxury industry, Kaushik Velendra is still making his return to the London calendar this season with a collection that takes a more direct-to-consumer approach.
Instead of focusing only on the clothes, his presentation video took a more inclusive approach by questioning on what fashion needs to be, the role of men’s wear, gender diversity, new masculinity and the post-pandemic future of the industry. He invited friends and real clients, among whom we can see for example the artist and dancer Layton Williams, the star of ‘’Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’’, model River Vilperi, the London influencer Billy Langdon, the artist and activist Daniel Lismore, to express, in the video, their thoughts on diversity and inclusiveness while wearing his latest pieces for Fall/Winter 2021.
