Kenzo, under the creative direction of Nigo, teams up with talented Japanese graphic artist Verdy for an electrifying Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Presented at the recent Paris Men’s Fashion Week, this collaboration marks a significant milestone in fashion, fusing Eastern and Western aesthetics in a bold new way.
Kenzo’s Artistic director Nigo and Verdy, a revered figure in the graphic arts, have created a collection that speaks volumes about cultural fusion. Known for his vibrant work inspired by youth culture, Verdy brings a fresh wave of creativity to Kenzo’s legacy. His designs, which often reflect skateboarding, hip-hop and manga influences, bring a unique East-meets-West vibe to the collection.
The Kenzo x Verdy lineup features an exciting array of apparel and accessories that incorporate Verdy’s distinctive typography. Expect to see his artistic touch on a variety of fabrics such as denim, leather and knits, infusing traditional styles with a modern twist. The collection’s typography features phrases such as ‘Kenzo‘, ‘Kenzo Paris‘ and ‘18 Rue Vivienne‘, making each piece a statement in its own right.
For men, the collection features a sleek black windbreaker with white logo accents, complemented by navy knit sweaters and vests, also with white branding. Jersey pieces include a bold black and white cardigan with ‘KP‘ and ‘Kenzo Paris‘ logos. In addition, oversized t-shirts in black or white feature bold red or white logos, adding a dash of daring to the classic Kenzo aesthetic.
The Kenzo x Verdy women’s collection includes a navy knit sweater, cardigan and skirt, all featuring an all-over ‘Kenzo Paris‘ logo. The jersey line presents a playful pink polo dress and an off-white hoodie, both emblazoned with the signature logo. Boxy short tees in black, white and pink and oversized tees in pink or white highlight the iconic Kenzo logo.
A highlight of the collection is a unisex black hoodie with a maximalist white logo on the front, also available in off-white with a red logo. The collection’s knitwear includes a navy cardigan with “Kenzo Paris” in white and blue, adding a sophisticated touch to casual wear. The inclusion of a leather motorcycle jacket and a teddy bear, both with oversized logos, further enhances the appeal of the collection.
The Kenzo x Verdy collection will be available exclusively on kenzo.com from December 1st-3rd and in Kenzo stores worldwide from December 4th.
