Safari in Tuscany! The program was daring for the Tod’s creative director Walter Chiapponi who transposed the adventurous universe of the late writer, photographer and artist Peter Beard – the American is known worldwide for his brilliant images of wild animals in Africa – in the Petra vineyard in Suvereto, Tuscany.

Entitled “Under the Italian sun”, his Spring/Summer 2022 collection, more nonchalant than usual, was developed around an urban safari theme where the uniform, sometimes elegant, sometimes functional, was revisited in a casual style.
On the program: parachute pants with drawstrings at the ankle or Bermuda shorts in light cotton or hemp, canvas shirts or country jackets worn over Bermuda shorts, light nylon trench coats in bright colors, small camera bags or Dots Run sneakers in nylon and leather in contrasting colors. All in shades of khaki, beige, off-white or brown, reflecting the natural tones of the bush.
