After two digital shows, Alexandre Mattiussi was back to the physical parade, for his label AMI, in an atmosphere that could not be more Parisian.

He chose as his venue Palais Brongniart, the old stock exchange building at Place de la Bourse, which sits above a hub of underground Parisian transport.
“It’s the only place today in a city where everybody is on top of each other. There’s an old lady, a guy coming out from a party, a guy who is on the way to work, kids, grandmothers, different vibes, different cultures. This is the only place where you don’t have the choice of who you will be seated with”, he observed.
Mattiussi therefore had the Paris metro in mind for his collection. The theme was also found in the scenography, with turnstiles installed at the entrance, with invitations in the form of old-school “carte orange” subway cards and tickets, and by letting each guest, introduced into the place by a long métro tunnel meticulously recreated with white-tiled, freely choose their seat as in the métro.
As for the proposals, they were, faithful to the DNA of the brand, a reflection of what it means to be Parisian; always chic, sometimes colorful, oftentimes monochrome. The dimensions were generously sized. There were pinstripe suits, shearling or shiny leopard print bomber jackets. There were tweed suits paired with colorful heels and funky sunglasses, a varsity jacket paired with a neon green sweater as well as protective boas, sequin shirt cuffs and sterling silver baubles created in collaboration with London jeweler Alan Crocetti which added a glamorous touch to the collection.
