Irish actor Barry Keoghan has cemented his place in the spotlight, not only on screen but also in the world of fashion. The rising star has been named the latest brand ambassador for iconic British fashion house Burberry.

Keoghan’s association with Burberry isn’t entirely new. He recently attended Burberry’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in London’s Victoria Park, showing his appreciation for Daniel Lee’s creative vision, and turned heads at the 2023 Met Gala in a Burberry blue tartan suit.

I’ve been a fan of Burberry for many years now,” Keoghan said. “It’s such an iconic heritage brand with innovation at its heart, and a commitment to supporting arts and culture. I’m very excited to be a part of this next chapter.”

That enthusiasm is echoed by Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Daniel Lee. “His raw, unique talent is incredibly inspiring and perfectly reflects the spirit of our brand,” said Lee, who has known Keoghan for more than five years.

Keoghan‘s career has been nothing short of impressive. Acclaimed performances in major films such as Emerald Fennell’s ‘’Saltburn’’, Christopher Nolan’s ‘’Dunkirk’’, Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘’The Killing of a Sacred Deer’’ and Martin McDonagh’s ‘’The Banshees of Inisherin’’ have earned him critical acclaim and a BAFTA win for Best Supporting Actor in 2023. He currently stars in Apple TV+’s thrilling new 9-episode series “Masters of the Air” alongside Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann and Ncuti Gatwa, among others.

Burberry has worked with many well-known British and Irish celebrities to promote its merchandise, especially after Daniel Lee’s tenure, which emphasized the brand’s British Isles heritage. However, the brand has not overlooked international stars either, naming acclaimed Chinese actress Tang Wei as its latest ambassador. The appointment, made late last year, came as the company anticipated a post-pandemic recovery in the all-important Asian market.
