Following the success of the “Virginia Is For Lovers” collection, DTLR, the iconic American lifestyle retailer, expands its prolific New Balance offerings with a fresh interpretation of the 90/60 silhouette.
A product of the modern-day sneaker culture’s fondness for the intersection of classic and contemporary aesthetics, the 90/60 silhouette quickly earned its reputation after its release in 2022. Now, DTLR brings this silhouette to life with a unique, night-ready colorway aptly named the “Glow“.
The 90/60 “Glow” is a testament to DTLR’s keen eye for blending color, style, and functionality. The sneaker boasts a tasteful tri-tonal grey arrangement across its suede and sport mesh panels, while strategic placements of black and a high-vis infrared bring depth and contrast. Adding a playful yet stylish twist, the laces and inner lining of the shoe showcase a night-vis green that coordinates perfectly with the exterior heel piece.
What truly sets this collaboration apart, however, is its distinctive glow-in-the-dark feature. The entirety of the shoe’s outsole, from heel to toe and the areas beneath the sculpted pods, light up with an arresting neon green in low light conditions. The slanted-N logo on the lateral side also glows, creating an impressive visual effect that blends function with fashion.
DTLR has officially announced that their much-anticipated collaboration will be available from June 16th, with sizes offered for both men and grade-school.
