The world of fashion never ceases to amaze, with collaborations that inspire and bring forth an assortment of styles that cater to the modern connoisseur. This Milan Fashion Week, the spotlight is on Gigi Hadid‘s cashmere brand, Guest in Residence, as it prepares to launch a limited-edition capsule collection in collaboration with Italian luxury retailer, LuisaViaRoma. Expected to feature extra-fine rib knit cardigans with fluid bell sleeves, one-shoulder jersey tops, lightweight skirts, and a variety of exclusive styles and colors, this collection will be available at LuisaViaRoma’s flagship store in Florence and its online platform on September 22nd, alongside the label’s main Fall/Winter 2023 collection.

Celebrating this grand collaboration, Hadid and LuisaViaRoma have planned an intimate dinner at the iconic Il Baretto al Baglioni in Milan. This event is expected to be attended by the crème de la crème of the fashion world, marking Milan Fashion Week as, in Hadid’s words, “the perfect occasion to celebrate this collaboration surrounded by people who inspire me.”

In addition to the dinner, the LuisaViaRoma store in Florence will host two installations dedicated to the collaboration, one this month and another in November, along with multiple activations both online and offline.

Since officially launching Guest in Residence last year, after teasing the project on social media with behind-the-scenes images of the design process, Hadid has sparked a considerable internet buzz. Although this is her first clothing brand, Hadid is no stranger to the fashion industry. She began her modeling career as a toddler, signing with IMG in 2011 and making her New York Fashion Week debut in 2014. Since then, she has become one of the most prominent models of today, working with major design houses and fronting advertising campaigns for brands like Miu Miu, Versace, Jacquemus, Hugo Boss, and Self-Portrait.

Her journey into design has included collaborations with brands such as Frankies Bikinis, Reebok, Stuart Weitzman, and Tommy Hilfiger. Notably, her collaboration with Hilfiger marked the first time a celebrity co-designed a collection and shared the label with the American designer.

The partnership between Guest in Residence and LuisaViaRoma signifies a momentous occasion for both brands and is sure to be one of the highlights of Milan Fashion Week.
