Chitose Abe explores her roots in her new Sacai collection, delving into what she calls “the pure essence of Sacai”. It’s “really about self-assurance and self-confidence”, she told Vogue. “If I have that self-assurance and self-confidence, the wearer will also”.

For men, the silhouettes are loose, often playing with layers to create volume. For women, this energy is seen through lingerie-inspired elements on select outerwear, including jackets with bra cups and bra lines across the front and back.
In addition to the multitude of outerwear proposals, Abe is once again multiplying collaborations, such as with leather specialist Schott on motorcycle jackets, new sneakers designed for Nike, as well as with Japanese artist MADSAKI, a longtime friend based in New York and Tokyo, known for his spray paint work. Biker jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts were splashed with MADSAKI’s text that read “sheeple, zombies and Kool-Aid” while a Sacai’s technical take on an après-ski Moon Boot is also part of the collection.
