A-COLD-WALL* Fall/Winter 2021 – Milan Fashion Week Men’s

January 21, 2021

In the past, Samuel Ross has always delved into quite deep, stimulating topics: the relationship between modernism, traditionalism and utilitarianism to design for A-COLD-WALL*. But in these tough and uncertain times for all British designers, both due to the pandemic and the Brexit, Samuel Ross has preferred this season to focus on optimistic and light messages.

Thus, his Fall/Winter 2021 collection opened with a zen series of all-white looks he describes as imbued with a ‘’more positive, optimistic spirit’’.

The more pragmatic approach and a relaxed attitude were also echoed in the collection, especially through tactile ribbed knitwear pieces that inspire comfort and those inspired by sportswear, as well as a pleated pajama look that transcends loungewear and a deconstructed and free-flowing brown suit.

Samuel Ross also introduced several collaborations announced as highly desired pieces: a particularly alluring array of gently abstracted outerwear created with Mackintosh, sunglasses with RETROSUPERFUTURE as well as several pairs of collaborative shoes, especially with Dr Martens.
