The RM 21-02 Tourbillon Aerodyne is a marvel of modern watchmaking, combining advanced materials and sophisticated design. Its case, made of a blend of carbon TPT and quartz TPT, is both striking and robust. The use of titanium for the bezel and caseback not only enhances the durability of the watch, but also its aesthetic appeal. These materials, commonly used in the aerospace and automotive industries, underscore Richard Mille’s commitment to using unconventional resources to achieve unparalleled performance and style.

The timepiece‘s design harmoniously blends functionality and elegance, its white and black color scheme showcasing the textures of the high-tech materials used in its construction. Its distinctive tonneau-shaped case, measuring 42.68 x 50.12 x 14.30 mm, houses a skeletonized display that reveals the intricate workings of the manual winding tourbillon movement. This movement, at the heart of the watch, has a base plate made of orthorhombic Haynes 214 alloy, accentuated by Carbon TPT and black PVD treatment. This not only ensures robustness, but also gives the watch a unique visual depth.

The functionality of the RM 21-02 is as impressive as its design. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters and is secured by 20 grade 5 titanium screws and 316L stainless steel washers. This attention to detail is a hallmark of Richard Mille engineering. In addition to telling the time, the movement features a function selector, oversized Arabic numerals and vibrant power reserve and torque indicators. These features provide an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making the RM 21-02 not only a timepiece, but also a piece of wearable technology.

The exclusivity of this model is undeniable. The new RM 21-02 Tourbillon Aerodyne is available in a limited edition of 50 pieces, sold exclusively through Richard Mille boutiques, at a price of $928,000 USD.
